IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DRIVER OF THE CAR TO SEE THAT HIS CAR COMPLETELY SATISFIES THE RULES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ALL SAFETY RULES. THE DRIVER OF EACH CAR REPRESENTS TO THE PROMOTER AND ALL OTHERS THAT HIS CAR HAS SATISIFED ALL APPLICABLE RULES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SAFETY RULES, WHENEVER SUCH DRIVER PARTICIPATES IN A WARM-UP, PRACTICE, OR COMPETITIVE LAPS.

  • This is a beginner class a breakout time will be enforced.
  • Stinger age must not be 14 before April 1st
  • Hornet age if nascar class must be 14 or older to race


6.1 ELIGIBLE MODELS

6.1.1 CARS MUST REMAIN STOCK

6.1.2 Any non rotary vehicle 4 cylinder or less.

6.1.3 Battery must be well secured.

6.1.4 Exhaust must extend behind the driver.

6.2 MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED OR REQUIRED

6.2.1 Passenger car tires only. Minimum 60 Series tire.

6.2.3 Racing roll cage recommended. If racing seat is used it must be mounted to roll cage. Minimum 5 point racing seat belts are required with racing seat.

6.2.4 Full glass front windshield required. Screen or plastic must be approved. Cracked windshields must be taped, and may not block vision. Any windshield that blocks vision must be replaced. All other glass and under hood insulation must be removed. Lexan may be used in place of windshield in the event the car is equipped with a 4 point roll cage and the upper hoop is no more than 4” (four inches) away from the top of the windshield opening.

6.2.5 Drivers door must be welded, bolted or chained shut. A drivers door plate is mandatory. (Min. 3/8″ Thick x 6″ Wide. Must be welded or bolted (with 3 x 3/8″ Bolts) to drivers door Minimum. Must overlap door opening by Min. 6″ unless car has 4 point cage with 3 driver door bars.)

6.2.6 Car numbers must be vinyl at least 16 inches tall on the doors and a car number at least 5 inches tall must be on the upper corner of the passenger side of the windshield. All cars must be neatly painted.

6.2.7 Hood and trunk must be secured.

6.3 PERSONAL PROTECTION

6.3.1 Approved helmet SA2010 or higher, seat belts (racing seat belts recommended) Racing Fire suits, gloves and shoes required. Fire extinguisher securely mounted within easy reach of driver required.

6.3.2 Driver side window net is required and must work. All drivers are required to wear a neck brace during races.

6.4 MANAGEMENT CLAIM

6.4.1 The claim is in effect at all times and the claim amount is $800.00 for the entire car. Not included in claim is the transponder or racing seat. Don’t bring it if you ain’t OK with losing it.

6.5 Raceiver Radios

6.6.1 All Hornet and Junior Stinger drivers will be required to run a Raceiver Radio. The Raceiver must be set to the race control frequency at all times.
