May 11th, 2013

It was a wild and wonderful night of chaos and carnage coupled with a record setting car jump that thrilled fans. Idaho's only Nascar sanctioned track switched gears this weekend and put on a show that highlighted complete destruction.

Outback Steakhouse sponsored the show as  professional stunt-driver Mr. Dizzy capped off the evening with a spectacular bang that  not only wowed the huge crowd, but crushed the Idaho State record for the longest car jump. Mr. Dizzy went above and beyond at succeeding in avenging himself from last year's failed attempt at breaking the record. The old record stood at 89 feet before Mr. Dizzy crushed it by sailing his 1987 Mercury Grand Marquis smack dab into the middle of a pack of cars that were parked on the front stretch. When it was all said and done Mr. Dizzy broke the record by a staggering 18 feet, setting the record in the state of Idaho to a bone-chilling 107 feet.

However, the chaos wasn't limited to just a record setting jump as the fans were also treated to a wildly destructive demolition derby which was won by the 007 Marky's Auto Body and Tow demolition car.

As well as the demolition derby and record setting jump the fans were also treated to some great racing action as the Shari's Cafe Hornets and Quale's Electronic Junion Stingers took to the track for their 4th races of the season.

In the Shari's Cafe Hornet main event it was a brotherly battle for the entirety of the 25 lap race. In the end it was the younger brother of James Cole who piloted his #13 Ford Mustang into victory lane by holding off the hard charging effort being put out by older brother Eddy Cole. Cody Bourgeois scored his first top 3 of the season by finishing in the third spot. Rounding out the top five was series regular Doug Brownfield, and newcomer Josh Black in the fourth and fifth positions.

It was another strong showing from the young female hot-shoe of Hailey Douglas as she drove her #14 Honda CRX into victory lane for the second time this season. Douglas was able to take advantage of an early on-track incident that involved the #29 of Trenton Thomas and pole-sitter Samantha Shindle. Justice Coates had another strong finish as he was able to score another top three by finishing just behind Douglas for the second spot. Trenton Thomas, Samantha Shindle, and KC Sutton rounded out the top five respectively.

And finally in the O'reilly Auto Parts Thunderdogs main event it was Soccer Mom getting the win. The Crusher and Hoffa Mobile rounded out the top three.  The crusher and white lightning both scored multiple spins to please the crowd.
