Double Dashes Set Up Separation Saturday

Magic Valley Speedway doubles down on feature races Saturday, June 8, as the third-mile asphalt oval hosts the Project Filter Twin 35’s presented by RC Willey. The NASCAR Trucks, Western Mountain Inc. NASCAR Latemodels, McDonalds Street Stocks, Project Filter Mini Modifieds, Budweiser Bombers, Hornets, and Quale’s Electronics Stingers take on the high banks in pursuit of the night’s Western Mountain, Inc. Trophies.

The NASCAR Truck season standings couldn’t get much closer. Jenna Quale leads Andrew Prince by a single point, and John Newhouse by just eight as this full-contact division battles door-to-door to the checkers. Can Quale separate herself from the pack, or will Prince, Newhouse, or the rest of the NASCAR Truck field make their move to the top of the division?

Western Mountain Inc. NASCAR Latemodel point leader Andrew Palmer finds himself double-booked this Saturday. With races at both Magic Valley Speedway and Meridian Speedway, will Palmer make the tow to defend his points lead, or will Doyal Moen, Shawn Lester, and the rest of the Western Mountain Inc. NASCAR Latemodel pack put Palmer in the rearview mirror?

McDonald’s Street Stock competitor Mitchell Pehrson has two chances to score his first feature win of the season Saturday. But Ron McClimans knows the way to victory lane as well and could use a victory to erase his nine-point deficit.

Amanda Burlingame took home the Project Filter Mini Modifieds’ first feature victory and is poised to take her second and third this Saturday.

Corbin Black finds himself 21 points ahead of Brandon Adams as the Budweiser Bombers roll into Project Filter Twin 35’s night.

Justin Ford and Tiffany Moen are knotted at 127 points apiece in the Magic Valley Speedway Hornet standings. Neither driver can afford a slip this Saturday, as third place runner Peyton Hardenbrook sits just two points back of the lead duo ready to take his place at the head of the division.

Moen finds herself at the top of the Quale’s Electronics Stingers class as well, where she enjoys a slim six-point lead over Kaethyn Gilligan.

General admission to the Project Filter Twin 35’s presented by RC Willey is just $14 for adults, $12 for seniors and military members, $8 for kids 7-11, and free for kids 6 and under. Gates open at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, June 8, with races going green at 6:30 p.m. Skip the line at the ticket gate and purchase your advance tickets now at magicvalleyspeedway.com. We’ll see you on the high banks Saturday, June 8, for the Project Filter Twin 35’s presented by RC Willey at Idaho’s fastest NASCAR Home Track, Magic Valley Speedway.
