Rhead, Hardy Speed Into Fast Lane Automotive Double Nickel 55
Magic Valley Speedway welcomes the Fast Lane Automotive Double Nickel 55 to the third-mile asphalt oval this Saturday, May 13. The Bud Light NASCAR Modifieds, McDonald’s Street Stocks, Pepsi Mini Stocks, Hornets, Quale’s Electronics Stingers, and Bombers take to the high banks for a full night of short track action at Idaho’s fastest NASCAR Home Track.
Eric Rhead got off to a hot start in the Bud Light NASCAR Modifieds’ first race night, where he outscored second place runner Lynn Hardy by 29 markers. But Hardy isn’t content to run second, and looks to close the gap between himself and Rhead under the lights Saturday night.
Shawn Lester made the most of the McDonald’s Street Stocks’ opening weekend, and enters Saturday night’s action two points ahead of Steve Edens. Can the defending division champion make his way back to the head of the field, or will Lester continue his torrid early-season pace?
Ten Pepsi Mini Stocks took the green flag on their first race night, with Keith Ostic and Robbie Hyde coming out on top. Who will best the third-mile on Fast Lane Automotive Double Nickel 55 night?
The Quale’s Electronics Stingers ran a thrilling race in their speedway debut. When the dust settled on a physical feature race, Coleman Green held the points lead with Paxton Guiles and Kaethyn Gilligan both within five points of the lead.
Ty Garibay leads the Hornet division into Fast Lane Automotive Double Nickel 55 night, while AJ McGuire stands just one point clear of Brandon Adams as they battle for control of the Bomber ranks.
General admission to Saturday night’s Fast Lane Automotive Double Nickel 55 is just $14 for adults, $12 for seniors sixty and over and military members, $8 for kids 7-11, and free for kids 6 and under. Promotional ticket holders may use their May 6th ticket for admission. All online tickets have been refunded and may not be used for admission.
